He Loves Me…KNOT by RC Boldt

HLMK- Teaser 4

Sometimes love needs a second chance…

I never looked back after skipping out on my own wedding, even if it did leave me estranged from most of my family. Eight years later, I have the life I’ve always wanted. As an advertising account executive, my world is damn near perfect.

Until I come face-to-face with my past. With the man I once loved. The man who holds my future in his hands. The man who’s hell-bent on getting even with me for leaving him at the altar.

Even with all the unfinished business between us, I still love Knox Montgomery. The only problem?

He loves me…KNOT.

HLMK -Teaser 2

He Loves me knot is the story of the runaway bride, who then has to work with her ex many years later.
This is the story of Emma Jane and Knox, we don’t get to know Knox until a little later. Emma Jane flies into a gay bar still in her wedding gown, absolutely heartbroken.
There she meets Beckett a star quarterback who is incognito, after telling her tale of woe which we don’t find out until much later in the book. Beckett is a great guy and helps Emma Jane to start a life in Jacksonville.
Trouble begins eight years later when Knox takes over the company where Emma Jane works. This is when Knox starts off being a dick, and as we get to know him. We realise how heartbroken he was when E.J didn’t to turn up to marry him.
We have flashbacks to tell the story from 8 years before. So as the book moves along we also see the past. I really enjoyable read from alternate points of view, when Knox joins us in the present.
They have to work together, and realise that they still have great chemistry, and then they fall in love with their new selves. Knox and Emma Jane were so good together. Beckett was as cute as matchmaker to Knox and Emma Jane. I can’t wait for Beckett to get his own story.

ARC REVIEW: ROCK SOLID,an all-new sexy and romantic standalone by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

Rock Solid, an all-new sexy and romantic standalone by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

Rock Solid
by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde
Publication Date: November 14th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Connor Prescott doesn’t do one night stands (yes, ladies, he’s an anomaly) so when he meets a beautiful woman during a snowed in night at the airport who wants to forget her heartache, he makes an exception. Their night together is incendiary, and by morning Connor wants more . . . except his sexy stranger is gone. He’s pretty sure he’ll never see her again, until three and a half years later she finds him, and changes his entire world with three little words . . . You’re a daddy.

The first thing I have to say is, I loved Rock Solid, and fell in love with Conner who I thought  was great from the get go. I do like to read a feel good book, but with plenty of hot sex thrown in. What a great baby daddy, a real good solid guy who only gets naughty in the bedroom.
This is one most of us wish for a great guy, but sexy in the bedroom. Katie had a lot of issues to work through, most relating to her upbringing. Little Val was adorable especially with Conner.
It was a novel idea to have a really sexy good man, without a dark side. Who puts his woman and child first? All the time I was reading with a big smile on my face, and some days that all you want read?

G.D. Penman’s imaginative The Year of the Knife is a fun, fast-paced urban fantasy mystery with an engaging set of characters, most notably Agent Sully of the Imperial Bureau of Investigation.

Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble

Sully is a powerful witch that works for the IBI (Imperial Bureau of investigation) for the British Empire. It is her job to deal with the worst paranormal attacks in the American colonies. When a string of mass murders continues to happen, it is up to Sully find and stop the killer. But soon Sully realizes she may be dealing with someone with magic never seen before. Can Sully crack the case before it is too late?
I devoured this book, it was full of so many different paranormals which I loved. Witches, vamps, skin walkers, demons, it was a great mix and they fit into this world in ways you would not expect. For one, vampires are considered very lowly. They are banished, killed, hunted and at best ignored, pending what part of the world you are in. Humans know they are living with things that go bump in the night but the witches and other magic users keep them in line. I really got immersed in this world and thought it was well done. I don’t remember ever quite reading a book like this before, and considering all the paranormal books I have read, I’m pretty impressed.
Sully has to be the biggest badass witch I have ever read about. I just loved her character. She is awesomely powerful but she is not invincible. I liked that even with all her power, her life was still on the line, it made the story more exciting. I am not going to give anything more away, but I would love a sequel please Mr Penman. This has so many different elements in this story, that I think will appeal to a lot of readers.

Author Bio:

G D Penman writes Speculative Fiction. He lives in Scotland with his partner and children, some of whom are human. He is a firm believer in the axiom that any story is made better by dragons. His beard has won an award. If you have ever read a story with Kaiju and queer people, it was probably one of his. In those few precious moments that he isn’t parenting or writing he likes to watch cartoons, play video and tabletop games, read more books than are entirely feasible and continue his quest to eat the flesh of every living species.

Zane by Christie Ridgway

Part of the 7 Brides for 7 Soldier’s Series, don’t miss out on this great standalone romance!

Ex-soldier Zane Tucker is perfectly happy with his single life and his adventure watersports business. A gambler by nature, he figures the odds of finding a woman for forever are a lot longer than finding a woman for right now. But then his dog hurtles toward the new county librarian, yanking Zane into her delicate, pretty presence. Will they both scare her away? And why does that worry him so?

Harper Grace has a bucket list of goals to tick off and is determined to live every moment to the fullest by overcoming her usual shyness. No one will call her too timid and too boring ever again. But then a giant of a man and his equally large dog charge into her life and she can’t decide if she wants to take a step back…or step fully into Zane’s strong arms. ARC REVIEW: SAVING IT By New York Times, USA Today Bestselling Author Monica Murphy!

Saving It by Monica Murphy

Release Date: November 6th, 2017

Genre: YA Romance

Saving It, an all-new YA romance from Monica Murphy is available NOW!

Josh Evans and I have been best friends forever. He knows all my secrets, and I know all of his. So when he randomly asks me to help him lose his virginity, I sort of flip out. That’s a question that sends your mind to places you’ve seriously never considered before. Like, you know. Having sex. With your best friend. Except Josh doesn’t want to have sex with me—he wants me to help him find a girl. A nice girl who’s funny and smart and cute. Except he already knows a girl just like that…

Eden Sumner is my best friend. So of course she’d be the person to help me find my perfect match, so I can drop my V card before I head off to college. Except the more we search, the more I realize that maybe the right girl has been by my side all along. I don’t need Eden’s help in finding me a girl to love. I’m pretty sure I’m already in love with Eden. But now she thinks I’m only after one thing…with anyone but her.

Whenever I read a Monica Murphy YA story, I always find myself back in my 18 yrs. old mind.
I loved both characters Joshua and Eden, who have been best friends for years, all that changes when Josh ask her to find a girl to lose his virginity too. It was a good switch being a boy needing help and still being a virgin.
All the talk of sex made them look each other differently. I found them so cute together, it seems like they were the only ones who didn’t realise what was happening between them. I loved the other best friends Molly and Abraham they were so funny.
Monica’s knack is that it all seems so realistic, not all the made up with all the stars and music fading.
I would happy letting my teenage daughter read this and enjoy as much as I did.

I got the call. The dreaded call every child fears. My dad wasn’t well, and the man who had always been my everything needed me.

There was only one thing to do; pack up and head back to my hometown. I had finally made my dream life in the city with the great job and loving boyfriend. But was there really a choice not to go?

I found a wonderful job, a quaint house to rent, my boyfriend was working on joining me in Binghamton, and my favorite pizza place was only miles away. Life was good.

Until I met my neighbor.

It’s been three years since I’d seen Aaron Walters, and my God is he all kinds of sexy gorgeous. Figures. He was supposed to be my forever, the man I grew old with, but he had different plans. How can a man who ripped my heart apart still trip me up? How can he make me still want him now more than ever?

I’m tempted, I’m drawn toward him, I’m completely and utterly unaware that I’m dating his biological brother.

Now two men own my heart. The question is, which brother will I choose?

BROTHER Negihbor_TOB[109139]

We meet another couple in Meghan’s series of standalones, but sometimes they are characters we have met in previous books. This is the story of Smalls, friend and work partner to Tucker and Racer from previous books. Each of these men have had a hard life so it is gratifying to see each of the guys get their hea. So I was really pleased that it was Aaron’s turn.
As someone new moves in next door, Aaron can’t believe that it’s his ex-girlfriend Amelia, the girl he loved more than his self.
Amelia has moved back, because her father’s Alzheimer’s has gotten worse and she wants to be near him. Even though she has left Trey her boyfriend behind. He is hoping to follow as soon as he can.
I loved this couple together, this is a very emotional book. My god you could feel the chemistry between them. Unfortunately there was a lot of hurt and misunderstandings to get through before they reach HEA. I can’t recommend this book enough it’s a beautiful story and I loved every minute of it, and always good to see my boys happy.

I received an ARC of this Book in exchange for an honest review.

BROTHER Similarity[109138]

BROTHER Soul-Deep_TOB[109130]

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!

ARC REVIEW: WOLVES AND ROSES ( Fairy Tales of the Magicorum Book One ) By Bestselling Author CHRISTINA BAUER

Wolves-and-roses.jpg BC

Wolves & Roses
Christina Bauer
(Fairy Tales of the Magicorum #1)
Published by: Monster House Books
Publication date: October 31st 2017
Genres: Paranormal, Young Adult

“If Janet Evanovich teamed with a young adult, fairy-tale author like Marissa Meyer (the Lunar Chronicles) or Alex Flinn (Beastly), the result might be something like Christina Bauer’s Wolves and Roses.” –Blue Ink Review

Seventeen-year-old Bryar Rose has a problem. She’s descended from one of the three magical races—shifters, fairies, or witches. That makes her one of the Magicorum, and Magicorum always follow a fairy tale life template. In Bryar’s case, that template should be Sleeping Beauty.

“Should” being the key word.

Trouble is, Bryar is nowhere near the sleeping beauty life template. Not even close. She doesn’t like birds or woodland creatures. She can’t sing. And she certainly can’t stand Prince Philpot, the so-called “His Highness of Hedge Funds” that her aunties want her to marry. Even worse, Bryar’s having recurring dreams of a bad boy hottie and is obsessed with finding papyri from ancient Egypt. What’s up with that?

All Bryar wants is to attend a regular high school with normal humans and forget all about shifters, fairies, witches, and the curse that Colonel Mallory the Magnificent placed on her. And she might be able to do just that–if only she can just keep her head down until her eighteenth birthday when the spell that’s ruined her life goes buh-bye.

But that plan gets turned upside down when Bryar Rose meets Knox, the bad boy who’s literally from her dreams. Knox is a powerful werewolf, and his presence in her life changes everything, and not just because he makes her knees turn into Jell-O. If Bryar can’t figure out who—or what—she really is, it might cost both her and Knox their lives… as well as jeopardize the very nature of magic itself.

This is Book one in a wonderful new series by Christina Bauer, and as usual she has drawn me into another series that has kept me hooked.
This is set in a world where magic appears to dying, in this first trip into the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum.
Our kick ass heroine Bryer Rose who is living the Sleeping Beauty Template. Her best friend is Elle a failing Cinderella template. They both attend Magicorum teen Therapy Group for failing to live up to their templates.
Two great female characters who are tough and can take care of themselves. We always have such strong females in Christina’s books and this one is no different. The action really kicks in when they get caught breaking into LaCharmes office and they meet the arrival committee in the form of Knox and Alec, I have only one thing to say LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
The adventures certainly begin, and I was dragged me into the story and not released until the end. When I finished I felt totally bereft. So I went back and read Thrax, and enjoyed some more girl power. We didn’t just have girl power, Knox was pretty spectacular and I could understand Bryar’s attraction. I could go on about this book, but then there would be nothing for you to find out. If you enjoy Christina’s books you’ll love this. If you haven’t read any, this is book one in a new series. So it’s good place to start. I will say you are not left on a cliffhanger, as the story arc for couple finish on a positive not.
